Edited by Martyn Rawson and Tobias Richter • This book describes the teaching methods and approach of Waldorf Education from Kindergarten to Class 12. It also describes the vertical development of each subject throughout the curriculum, as well as giving an overview of the work in each class. The book also contains descriptions of typical non-classroom activities such as work experience, projects and excursions. There are sections on quality development, pupil and teacher assessment, school management and early years.
This curriculum offers various possible approaches to each stage of development by showing a range of possible teaching contents. It is therefore inclusive rather than prescriptive. As the most comprehensive reference book on the Waldorf Curriculum to date, this book should interest teachers, parents and students but will also be of use to education officials and academics.
"…a gift for the Waldorf movement. It is the first version of the modern Waldorf curriculum that can be presented in non-Waldorf circles. It is written in best English scientific style, lively and accessible, undogmatic and open for productive innovation" – Johannes Kiersch in Erziehungskunst
